Accounts - any help?

I need help, yes I know, some of you already knew that!
What I need is a simple (accounts for dummies) accounting package, preferably free and one that will run on a Mac.
I just tried google but got overwhelmed since I don't really know what I am looking for, if any readers have any advice, I am all ears, my current system is just not working :o(

TIA

  1. I'm afraid I can't help with accounts, but I did want to let you know I've linked back to several of your posts about knights and castles:

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. I've been using Budget Pulse for about five or six months now. It's online but it doesn't seem to want to suck up information from your American bank accounts like so many of the other ones I looked at did! It's fairly self explanatory and I have got the hang of it at last. The key to making it work is to put in your transactions at least every couple of days so you remember them!! I made an account called "Cash" which helped as so much is done here with cash and it would just disappear without a record of what I'd bought otherwise. The other funny thing is that you can make it yen but it still is expressed with a .00 at the end of every figure! Still it's good enough, and it's free. Google it and it will come up right away.

  3. Thanks Zoe, will pop over and have a look...

Vicky, I will go and have a look at it - converting from $ to ¥ all the time isn't helping my head!
