Inspiration Sunday - Great Tohoku Earthquake

One year ago today, at 2.46pm, life for so many in Japan changed forever. I don't want to dwell on the doom and gloom side of things, if you are interested in that turn on the TV or get on the news sites on the web, I am sure there is plenty to keep you happy.

Today I want to to remember those who lost their lives and pay tribute if you like to the survivors and the way that they handled the situation, the way the continue to go on even if life hasn't handed them a bed of roses.

I want to thank the SDF and emergency services who went to the Tohokus aid despite the fact that the ground was still shaking hundreds of time a day.

I want to thank the families of those rescues workers for enduring those awful weeks, not knowing if their family member would make it home.

I want to thank those who went into the nuclear plants, risking their lives to do so.

I want to thank all the countries that send aid, what ever form it came in.

I want to thank all the individuals that donated goods, time and money and I know many of you reading this did. Many still donated even after they did so for the Queensland floods and the New Zealand quake, I find it truly inspiring that all these 'little people' from all over the world can get together and do something great.

I want to thank all those on the social networks that updated and retweet useful information and those who continue to do so.

I want to thank all those who are continuing to support the area and the business that are pumping money into Tohoku to help it get back on its feet.

Finally, I want to thank every person who reached out to me, sending messages in one form or another, it meant a great deal, more than you will ever realize.
