Some of you know that I am a Lucky Bitch, yes, that's right. I joined Denise DT's Lucky Bitch program years ago and love it. It is probably my most favourite program that I have signed up to and yes, I have signed up to many!

I'm a super happy mood this week, we had a fun weekend up in the mountains, we did one of those tree top adventures - which admittedly wasn't the most sensible thing to do with a dodgy back (I skipped a couple of parts) but it was a lots of fun and great to not have to do any housework/cooking for a couple of days. Amen to that.

The chiropractor seems to be helping with the back and I got to meet up with some of my In With A Boom Masterminders this week too. Lots of break throughs and a-ha moments... makes me all happy and jiggly on the inside!

If you have been with me for a while, you will have heard me rave on about Denise DT and her Lucky Bitch program. Denise is absolutely lovely, not one of those head-in-the-clouds woo-woo types, you can imagine sitting down and having a cup of tea and a chat with her.

Now I credit the big shift in my business when I started doing the Lucky Bitch work, it all came down to a change of mindset, woo-woo alarm bells are going off right now!

I stopped looking at things from a lack mentality and started to believe that the money would come. Huge leap of faith needed there but it worked!

We wanted to go to Laos and Cambodia for our 10th wedding anniversary (we got married at Angkor Wat) but we didn't have the spare cash. So I did what any normal, rational person would do... I booked the trip, the hotels, the Elephant sanctuary, the flights... and the money came!

I was as skeptical as the next person and my husband even more so but even he is on the woo-woo manifesting train now!

Anyway, I'm telling you all this because Denise has a free manifesting course up at the moment. It's the building blocks that her paid course is built and I wanted to share with you because, well she rocks! Get Specific When Talking With The Universe.

As you may know, I am a big fan of Denise Duffield Thomas and her Lucky Bitch Bootcamp. One of the things she teaches is to ask the universe for what you want. We have become master parking spot manifestors and we usually get the table we want at the restaurant too, except the big U had a lesson for this time.

We were at the Sun Cafe, on the 52nd floor so we wanted to sit by the window so we could take in the view, we asked the big U for a window seat, we were taken to our table and... yes we were right next to the window, the one that over-looks the lobby!

We did have a lovely lunch but it was a good reminder to use both that we need to be very SPECIFIC in what we ask for. 

If you think this is all nonsense, try it, next time you are trying to get a parking spot or a specific seat at a cafe or even a seat on the train, ask the big U... and remember to say thank you afterwards.

Resources for running your own online business

What do you use for .... ?

This is a question I get a lot, so I have finally gotten around to putting everything in one place! I have created a page over on www.jojoebi.com basically listing all my favourite tools and apps etc. that I use to run my business. I do have more that are not listed and thats because I might use them it but I don't love it!

What I don't mention in the resources to run your business post is that you can have all the bells and whistles but unless you show up and do the work, those fancy smancy apps and plugins are not going to make you money.

I have also used apps that I know are not one of the big players in the field but they get the job done and the price is much kinder on the wallet - so don't be afraid to try out the little man as it were.

I've also included the two online courses that have been instrumental in making my business a success, Lucky Bitch Bootcamp and B-school.

I will add and update this page as I find great new resources, I have a couple of apps I'm testing out at the moment, one I especially like so if it works as promised I will add that into the mix soon.

Interview With Denise Duffield Thomas AKA Lucky Bitch

I'm really excited about today's post. This week I was up at the crack of dawn on Monday, to interview the lovely Denise from Lucky Bitch.

I met Denise years ago through B-school and joined her Lucky Bitch Bootcamp not long after. In a nutshell, she helps you figure out what your money blocks are and how to get smash them which allows you to make more money! It's a whole mindset change and has made a HUGE difference to my business!

One of the things that really interests me is the way that we talk and what kind of an effect that has on our kids, so a good chunk of the interview it talking about that. How we can change our language which not only changes our own mindset but sets our kids up for success too.

Lucky Bitch Bootcamp

The sad news is that Lucky Bitch Bootcamp will be closing down July 23rd for a major upgrade and facelift. 5 Reasons Why I Recommend B-School

For those who have been with me a while, you will know that a couple of years ago I took the plunge and joined Marie Forleo's B-school. At the time, the money was a stretch but it is, by far, one of the best investments I have EVER made. And this is why…

The Program

The materials are excellent, very professionally done, each module you get a video, audio and PDF - so no matter what your learning style is, there is something to suit! Like any program, you get out of it, what you put in. The timing was perfect for me when I started because Ebi-kun was just starting school so I could really throw myself in head first! 

It was a LOT of work, but like I said, you get out what you put in. I penciled in a couple of nights a week purely for b-school study time then during the day I was applying what I was learning as I build My Organized Chaos. For the length of the 8 week program I basically I spent every spare minute doing b-school, listening to the audios or working through the PDF worksheets.

The Community

What I hadn't expected when I joined B-school was the community that I would be joining, it rocks! I finally felt like I was with like minded people who saw the world like I do! The support is amazing, there is a forum on the program website but really Facebook is where all the action happens. It is a thriving nest of fabulous people, no matter what time of day, you pop in with a question and you get several replies or if you are having a tough day and they are there to help you up. There is the main group, which has 6000+ members right now and then loads of sub groups which are more specialized, of course you can join as many as you like.

The Friendships

The community as a whole is amazing but what is also amazing is the friendships that have come out of B-School, I have a mastermind group with 3 fabulous women who I know have my back, like I have theirs. I have an accountability partner who is just adorable and I feel like I have known her forever and then there are so many other friends I have made along the way, I can't wait to do a world tour and meet up with them all!

Marie Forleo

The founder (along with Laura Roeder), she is funny and smart, savvy and caring. Her philosophy is that if women had more money (and hence more power) the world would be a better place. Amen to that. She is straight talking and won't accept any bullshit excuses, if you want it bad enough, you will make it work.
She is not pushing a get rich quick scheme, she believes in setting up a sustainable business and doing it the honest way, no icky or slimy techniques needed.

The Fringe Benefits

I wasn't able to take full advantage of all these when I joined but you can definitely get a bigger bang for your buck! Marie runs an affiliate program, I am not in it this year but I have friends who are, so I wanted to give them a shout out. We don't have a patio set, just the camping table, which admittedly, isn't very comfortable, it would be lovely to upgrade to something like this.... Our yard is round and I can see this with some comfy cushions and a shade of course.
