I think this must have been one of the long lost videos that I forgot to upload! Bad mommy!
We went to do some shopping and then to see what was happening at the super arena, there was some kind of festival on which included beer and food stalls, which of course meant that Ebi-kun insisted on trying something new!
We have got him a clip mic for his birthday so that he can do more 'outside broadcasts' we have recorded a few in the past but the sound has been terrible so we haven't been able to use them.
This was actually from earlier in the year, better late than never or so they say... enjoy!
This is actually from a couple of months back but Ebi-kun has only just got around to putting it up! We accidentally ended up at a festival in Saitama Shintoshin and long chips were all the craze, of course, a certain little person insisted that we really needed to try them, for research purposes of course!

What is Eb-kun taste testing this week? I can tell you it is taking quite a while to get through all these treats! He isn't a big snacker so he only tries one or maybe two a week, we still have half a box full!

This was recorded when wee were in Vienna but the 'treat' was actually a gift from Christie who we met up with in Brussels, so this is Ebi-kun trying a Belgium treat in Vienna, as you do! I actually quite liked these but then I had lost my voice for a few days and had ben sucking on throat tablets almost continually so maybe it was because my taste buds had died!

Japan has an insane amount of fancy flavoured kit-kats, I'm personally not a fan except for the mint one! Ebi-kun tries Rum Raisin... I wonder what he'll think? (one of daddy's faves!)

I imagine that one drunken night, someone was looking through their cupboard to see what to eat in their drunken stupor and decided to try ramen noodles without cooking them first. And they discovered, that actually, they taste quite good and so the ramen snack was born (this is all speculation but in my head this is how it happened!)

This was for the Jamie Oliver's #foodrevolution. Ebi-kun wanted to cook a nice healthy meal and he did it live streaming to Facebook. The original was (painfully) long so we edited it down!

Although we do eat cake and snacks *gasp* we try to keep the majority of our food healthy. At Easter, Ebi-kun requested some healthy snacks to try for his show so I managed to find a few treats...
Unfortunately these types of snacks haven't made their way to our local supermarket yet, it will be good when they do. That's if he likes them, what do you think...

This was one of the goodies from a swap pack from France. I really liked these, sooo good! But did Ebi-kun like them?
Making the decision to do the smaller, one thing each time set up for the shows has taken the pressure off and he is back to enjoying doing it. I think this has been a great lesson one looking at a problem and thinking of ways to resolve it and understanding that this is his gig, he can do it how the heck he likes!

We actually saw some salmon chews on Facebook, chews, with bits of salmon in them - yes, really! We never managed to track those particular chews down but we did find these...
This week is a little bit different. Ebi-kun wanted to do something special for book giving day so we decided on making recipes from Roald Dahls Revolting Recipes book. This meant cooking them before he could taste them!
This is also the episode where I apparently got the sack! More on that later...
He got busy making Boggis Chicken, he did most of the work himself, I just stood around taking photos! (My kind of kitchen work!)
Making the dumplings was fun, we have never made them before, I always assumed you needed suet, which we can't get but the recipe called for lard, which we can get...
A rather messy process, great for a sensory activity! The recipe made enough for 2 nights worth of dinners for the three of us.
I think we should have used the iron pan as it did stick to the bottom, I managed to clean it off thanks to a friend Lias's top stip - use a dishwasher tablet and some hot water and leave to soak over night, no scrubbing needed at all!

My brother Daniel sent Ebi-kun some snacks from the Canary Islands, these were aniseed doughnuts, sounds good right... Not sure Ebi-kun would agree with you there!

In this episode, Ebi-kun tries out Bear Claws. He is a big fan of Yo-Yo's which is fruit leather made by the same company but these are a little bit different.
