24 hours and counting...

Why oh Why did my blog break mid launch?

Big apologies if you have been trying to catch up and all you got was some random hosting site page, I'm still not sure what the issue was but the very nice geeks at Siteground sorted it out for me!

This is your last call to join us in My Organized Chaos in 2016!

You don't need to take my word for it, that this program rocks...

I was unsure that I would have enough time and that completing one task would mean having to organize a lot of other spaces in the house first but it didn't work out like that. The art space I set up for the kids has been a big hit. - Diane
I'm a grandmother that babysits for my grandchildren. I didn't know if the course would be applicable or if I would fit into the group. I liked the openness and willingness to share that takes place in the members group and I love the pictures everybody shares, they really help to share ideas - Kathy
All of the ideas are simple and practical so they don't require a huge monetary investment to implement. They can also be done bit-by-bit as you have the time - great for busy parents! The more the kids can do on their own the less we (the adults) have to do for them. - Heidi
Yes I would recommend MOC to friends. I love the Montessori approach and going through the course reminded me of this. Each assignment made me rethink what I was doing, whether it was working, and just how far I had strayed from what I wanted my home and family life to be. I think others would benefit greatly from the same ideas and friendly guidance that Jo gives - Lynn
I feel like I have many more ideas for how to approach things, if that makes sense. Even though I've been super busy this month, the ideas you present make everything feel so approachable and do-able. I just love feeling the sense that I have some ideas to bring into my home to make it more functional and enjoyable for all of us to live in and use. - Paige
I am much more conscious of how wisely I am spending my time. Preparation is crucial! And it feels so good to have systems in place for storing things. I would recommend the course to anyone looking to be more organized in order to spend more time with their children. - Michi
I don't get as annoyed with my son - he will play for longer and happily tidy up after himself. He also seems to look forward to reading a lot more now he has a reading nook so is much easier to put to bed without fuss. As for me, I enjoy planning the time we spend together in advance. - Diana
If you are on the fence and have questions, shoot me an email or get in touch on facebook, I don't bite!!

The doors close in 24 hours, it's your time to take control and get your life back! Are you in? Click HERE

Are you keeping up..

With the challenges?

Day 5 of the My Organized Chaos challenge is Decadence! How often to you treat your kids but not yourself? Today it's time for a mini upgrade, treat yourself to a posher bottle of wine or fancier chocolate, whatever your mama pleasure is. Instead of the economy class version, choice business class - savour it and enjoy it. I've been saving this bar of chocolate from the award winning @welovechocolate

Day 6 of the challenge is Take A Bath. A quick hop in and out of the shower gets you clean but we need time to rewind too. Nothing beats a long soak in the bath, add some bubbles, light some candles, maybe even a glass of wine...

Day 7 of the challenge is Talk A Walk! Explore a bit, use a new route or have a wander around the neighbourhood, you never know what hidden treats you might find. Fill your lungs with fresh air, feel the weather on your skin, listen to every sound, take time to look around.

Day 8 of the challenge is Do Your Hair! So easy to fall into the 2 second mama ponytail trick, you deserve more, your hair deserves more! So today, style it differently, give it some love, a deep condition maybe. Or if you have been putting off that hair appointment for some crap reason, BOOK it today.

Day 9 of the challenge is Love Your Purse! Feel embarrassed when you take your purse/wallet out to pay for something? Time to fix that, take everything out, give it a clean and only put the things back in that you really need (ditch all those store cards you never use). Show your purse some love and it will love you - lesson learned from the lovely @deniseDT

Join the fun,
  1. Take a pic
  2. Tag me
  3. Use #myorganizedchaos
Simple!

The challenge is running in conjunction with the free training series for busy mamas, pop your name in the box below and you will learn so easy to apply tips to get your life more organized and back on track...

Mama - Are you feeling tired, stressed and unappreciated?

As you might already know, it is coming to that time of year when I open the doors to My Organized Chaos. A program for busy moms to get organized with their home, their kids and themselves so that they have more time for the fun stuff.

This year I have some great free video training for you, where I share some of my favourite tips to help you start organizing your home, family and yourself so you can be living the kind of life you want to live (rather than the rushing around like a blue-arsed fly all the time)

And if you know another mom that could do with some help, please share the link so she can get the help she needs too.

Whoo-hooo we are booked!

The tax went up by 3% here from April 1st which gave me the kick in the pants to decide when we were going to book to go to the UK this year. Summer it is! I booked the tickets for Ebi-kun and I for just over a month, the end of July til the end of August. Hurrah!

This got me to thinking…what about me holding some kind of event when I am back, so you UK folk, would you be interested in some kind of event - a workshop or talk or something? If so, please fill in the form below so I have some idea of what to put together - this is still very much in the 'thinking about' stage :)

Cheers!

We are back and how to save $150

We had a fun time in Nagoya and Wakayama, there will be posts to come. Sadly when we got back I discover the mouse had died, not a pet mouse, the Mac magic mouse, so any posts that require photos will have to wait until the new mouse arrives. I do all the photo stuff on the desktop!

You want to save $150? Who doesn't?
Well, I have changed the set up for the My Organized Chaos ecourse, after asking what people wanted I decided to open it up, so you can now join at any time. I will try and figure out the tech side so we can have groups running through the course together but that will be option. As soon as you sign up, you get access to all the materials and you can work through them at your own pace. There are weekly emails when you first sign up, to help keep you on track and we still have the private Facebook support group.

One other feature I have added is the monthly live calls, so you can call in and pick my brain about any area you need help with. If you want to know more about the course and it's contents, you can read about it here.

To get the special discount, you have to be on my mailing list. I will be sending out an email later this week with the special discount but it will only be accessible to fanzine list members.

Hop on the fanzine list here... It is free and I won't sell your email address to anyone! Not even the CIA.

Getting the family on board...

Feel like you spend half your time cleaning up and the rest of the family don't help just mess it all up for you again?
Repeat.
Repeat.
and the cycle goes on?

I am going to do a call addressing this problem and sharing some tips on how to get the family on board. You need to register for the call and if you can't make it live you can always pop back and listen at a later date.

If you have any specific questions that you would like me to address, drop me a line and let me know!

You can sign up for the meeting HERE

New to these kind of things? Want to join but you are scraed to?
No worries, that is perfectly normal. It is basically me talking and you listening, while the meeting is live you can type questions into the question box and at the end, if you like, you can talk to me - but there is no pressure, if you want to be anonymous and just listen - that is fine!

So, that's in in a nutshell, pop over HERE to sign up and if you think this would be useful for a friend, please pass on the information.

Unprompted Love (not a valentines post!)

There is something special about being given great feedback about your work especially if that feedback was totally unprompted. For the My Organized Chaos e-course, we have a facebook group, it is actually my favourite part of the course, everyone is very open and share their breakthroughs, annoyances and frustrations. Everyone helps each other out, gives suggestions and shares great tips and ideas. It is a lovely community and I am honoured to have so many wonderful women in it.

If you have been wondering whether the program is right for you, then have a read through these posts, written by real moms doing the course and the way the course has helped and changed their family situations...

Reading through all the posts and feedback makes me realise that changing direction with my business was the right choice and that by helping these moms, I am also helping their families and the future generation! The new course kicks off Monday the 18th of Feb, I would LOVE to see you there. Want to know more? Click HERE

If you loved this and want more fun tips & tricks,
parenting help and generally cool stuff & freebies then…

How to separate an egg with a PET bottle...

I have to thank gaijinwife for this idea. After she posted a video of her son doing it on Facebook, Ebi-kun decided he wanted a go. Make sure you wash out the bottle well before you try it and you want to use a bottle that you can squeeze and it will pop back into shape when you release the pressure. Some of the PET bottles these days are crushable so they don't work very well.

The video is silly, if you have a 7 year old boy they will probably be amused! enjoy.

The home stretch....

As you know, I have been working hard on my new project, well I am happy to say that I am on the home stretch. I have a posse of really cute guinea pigs testing it all out as I type which is very exciting but also nerve wracking at the same time! Now I have a launch date set I can see exactly how much work I have left to do (a lot!) so I will be cutting back on blog posts here a little over the next couple of weeks.

So, if you don't want to miss out on any of the updates or early bird specials, come and join us on the mailing list (it's free!)
