Have you ever tried Black Jacks, they remind me of the penny tray when I was a kid. In the newsagents there was a tray of sweeties priced, 1/2p, 1p and 2p and black jacks were always one of the selection. I'm pretty sure they cost more that 1p these days!
They are hard to explain taste wise, maybe ebi-kun can explain better...
