How to make a tasty flayed skin head for Halloween

I have seen these popping up on Pinterest and found them totally revolting, which of course made me want to put one together - hahaha, sometimes I worry about how my brain works!

This was super simple to day, perfect if you are short on time but want to scare the beejeebers out of your party goers.

You will some kind of head, I don't recommend a real one. I picked up a polystyrene one from Daiso, it was ¥600. It's actually a full head is I cut it in half so it would lay flat. I have seen people use decoration skulls so whatever you can get your hands on.

Start off by covering your head with cling film/saran wrap. You want to do this to protect your head and make the whole thing safer when it comes to eating the skin, erm I mean ham.

I decided to cover the tray with foil too but that is just me.

Then all you need to do is peel your parma ham out of your pack and lay it on your head. It's that simple! I read somewhere that cheaper ham molds better to the shape of the head because better quality ham tends to be tried longer so it's not as flexible.

The eyes, you could use egg eyes (tutorial here) or jelly eyes which is the ones we used.

I served this delight with tortilla chips, bread severed fingers and rustic ham dip. Nom Nom Nom.

It got lots on nods of approval and some strange looks by some passers by (we were in the park having the lunch), luckily the police were not called!

So if you are looking for something super simple and quick to throw together, this is the one to go for!
